There is a memory of Woman's Day that I hold in my heart with joy and a hint of nostalgia.
I woke up early that morning. I was already excited because I knew my husband would do something special for me (he has always been a very sweet person). But I didn't expect to find a bouquet of fresh flowers with a small love note on my nightstand that read...
"Whenever I hold your hand, I feel the transfer of your warmth and love in my soul. You truly are an embodiment of love and happiness. Happy women’s day sweetheart!”
But what struck me the most was Argo's cuddle, who was only 2 years old at the time.
He had brought me my favorite flower to bed, a yellow tulip, with his tail wagging with immense happiness and satisfaction as if to say:
"Mom, look how good I was, I brought you a flower without destroying it!"
I had never seen Argo so happy and satisfied! And this filled me with joy. It was as if my little puppy understood the importance of that day and wanted to celebrate with me.
Don't you have the tremendous feeling that our puppies always understand us? They really only lack the use of words!
But wait, the best part of this Women's Day memory has yet to come...
My favorite Women's Day celebration
That morning the air was fresh and fragrant, so I took Argo for a nice walk in our favorite park.
Argo ran back and forth, happy to be with me on such a special day (I was so happy too!)
But there was one thing that really melted my heart that day...
As we walked, Argo suddenly stopped in front of a group of freshly bloomed tulips, and approached one of them to pick it and bring it to me... Just like he had done that morning at home, with my husband.
I was shocked by such a spontaneous and sweet gesture from him! On the other hand, Argo was over the moon and kept barking and jumping around me all excited.
Our four-legged friends are wonderful creatures that we adore and that love us unconditionally. Their affectionate expressions and wagging tails are a direct indication of their desire to make us happy and share moments of joy and sadness with us.
This is one of the Women's Day memories that I hold dearest to my heart and that makes me feel lucky to have had such a special companion as Argo.
